Michelle Meyerovich, MA, LMHC, NCC, RYT-200
“Michelle Meyerovich is such a caring and knowledgeable therapist, I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking support with mental health issues. "
I am a “jack-of-many-trades.” My journey into the mental health field has had many entry points, however the most salient one was in facing mental illness in my family. After receiving my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College I’ve had the honor of working with adults, adolescents and children specializing in Trauma, Depression, Grief/Bereavement and Anxiety Disorders.
I believe that part of one’s journey in therapy includes a collaborative and hopefully healing therapeutic relationship involving trust, empathy, confidentiality, authenticity, and courage. I identify as an ever growing culturally competent psychodynamic psychotherapist who utilizes various CBT and DBT approaches. As such, I continuously aim to address oppression on all fronts.
I have completed advanced certification in Trauma and Disaster Mental Health, certifications in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Grief, and Bereavement, and Basic Training for EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing). I incorporate all of my authentic self and professional training to create an in-depth eclectic and comprehensive experience for you whether as a psychotherapist, supervisor or founder.
When I have a moment to myself I enjoy the outdoors, adventures, and doing cartwheels outside on rainy days. I find meaning in the present moment through yoga, dance, and emotional connection with others.
